New players should clear Chapter 1 with Power Stab, a defensive card, and calm guard timing before farming optional drops.

Card Combo Secrets and Hidden Mechanics

Block Tales hides value in route-specific interactions, not only in card rarity. These are the current discovery notes I check before changing build advice.

Garlic versus VLAD

The hidden "So it is true..." badge path uses Garlic in the VLAD battle, so item routing can matter outside raw healing.

Mutant basement route

Demo 5 badge notes place Mutant behind the Telamon Manor basement route, making it a post-story optional boss rather than a normal chapter gate.

Cassie protection check

Chapter 5 discussion repeatedly points to Cassie survival as the final-fight pressure point, so Bodyguard, Prayer, Cure, and Charge DEF rise above simple damage cards.
